Outside whenever possible

This weather has made it difficult to teach about seasons, but we certainly enjoyed the spring-like temperatures we experienced a few days this winter.  We never seem to have enough snow to invite the children to bring snow pants this year, however a couple of teachers have managed to bring in some snow from outside and add it to the sensory table.  On the other hand, we have had a few days lately that let us shed our winter coats and swing, climb and blow bubbles in the playground.  And then once again, the tables turned.  Just when it looked like Spring was right around the corner, we were given another blast of freezing (too cold/wet to play outside) weather and a couple snow storms. As we wait for the latest precipitation to clear out of our fenced in play area, please keep in mind that as long as it is warm enough, we like to take the children outside, even if it is just for a short walk.  So that everyone will be comfortable, please dress your child accordingly..because if we can predict anything about New England weather, it's that it is unpredictable.
