December Festivities

The days leading up to the holiday break were busy to say the least. Each classroom taught about the different holidays in a variety of ways but the most popular methods were through stories and music. As always, Ewa's class added the experience of cooking into their curricular activities. Many of you attended the festivities in your child's classroom. We hope you enjoyed listening to the songs, poems and finger-plays the children have been working on.

Our morning classes also had the opportunity to become the audience when the music teacher from Tisko Elementary School, Mr Langlais, brought some of his fourth graders to our school to perform for us. Our preschoolers enjoyed both listening and joining in during familiar songs.

Kelly's classroom was visited by a small group of Walsh middle school students, most who were students here at EYC years ago. The middle-schoolers came with craft materials and taught by visual example and by verbal directions. Before the students went back to WIS we all sat down together to share some favorite stories and holiday songs. We are hopeful to visit with this group of students again soon.
